This Edge is the Titanium, the top of the regular Edge lineup, in Blue over black leather, with kilometres about average for a 2020. It is a two-row crossover with a big back seat and a proper cargo area, and it rides more like a car than its size suggests. Certified and safety inspected. If you are a family around Ottawa, Kanata, Stittsville or Nepean that wants something comfortable and well equipped without stepping up to a three-row, this is the one for you.

The Edge runs the 2.0L twin-scroll EcoBoost four, rated at 250 horsepower, with an eight-speed automatic and intelligent all-wheel drive that sends power rearward when the front starts to slip. It is not quick in the way the ST is, and it does not need to be. It is smooth, quiet and gets on with it.

The Edge Titanium equipment list covers the things people actually use. Leather seats with heated fronts, 10-way power driver and passenger seats with driver memory, a power tilt and telescoping wheel, SYNC 3 on the 8-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Bluetooth, SiriusXM, a Bang and Olufsen sound system and a wireless charging pad. Intelligent Access with push-button start, remote start and a hands-free power liftgate. Ford Co-Pilot360 is standard: blind spot information with cross-traffic alert, the lane keeping system, pre-collision assist with automatic emergency braking, a rear view camera and reverse sensing. LED fog lamps, a 110V outlet, ambient lighting and a universal garage door opener round it out.
