2023 Kia Sportage LX for sale at Orr Motors, 6230 Hazeldean Rd, Stittsville (Ottawa). Front wheel drive SUV, 2.5L four-cylinder, 8-speed automatic, Black exterior, seats 5. Certified, financing available.

2023 was the first year of the current Sportage, the one with the boomerang headlights, and it grew a lot over the old one, especially in the back seat and the cargo area. LX is the starting trim, in Black, and it covers the things you actually use every day. A good fit for a small family or a commuter who wants a roomy compact SUV with modern safety tech and no fuss.

The Sportage runs a 2.5L four-cylinder, 187 horsepower, with an 8-speed automatic driving the front wheels. It is smooth and it is not in a hurry, and nobody here is going to pretend otherwise. Put a good set of winters on it and front-wheel drive gets most people through an Ottawa February without any trouble.

The cabin has an 8-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Bluetooth, heated front seats, 17-inch alloy wheels, LED headlights with automatic high beams, and heated power mirrors. Kia put the safety gear in the base trim too: forward collision avoidance, lane keeping assist, lane following assist, driver attention warning, rear parking sensors, a backup camera, and rear occupant alert, which reminds you to check the back seat before you walk away. Roof rails and a 60/40 split folding rear seat round it out.

Financing available for all credit situations. Get pre-approved at orrmotors.com.
