Is a used SUV a better winter vehicle than a car?

Usually, yes — but mostly because of ground clearance and AWD availability, not the body style itself. A higher SUV clears unplowed snow that would stop a low sedan. On ice, though, tires matter far more than drivetrain. An AWD SUV on all-seasons will stop worse than a front-wheel-drive car on proper winters.

How many kilometres is too many on a used SUV?

There is no single number. A well-maintained Toyota or Honda at 160,000 km can easily be a better buy than a neglected vehicle at 90,000 km. We would rather you look at the CARFAX service history and the inspection than fixate on the odometer.

Do you charge admin or documentation fees?
