This 2024 Wrangler Rubicon 4-Door is Bright White over black cloth low-back buckets, with low kilometres for its age, and it left the factory with the Xtreme 35-inch Tire Package already on it. That matters, because the factory package comes with the right gearing, brakes, suspension and hinge-gate reinforcement to carry the big tires, which is not what you get from a lift kit bolted on afterwards. Somebody optioned this one properly and the window sticker came to just over $77,000. The Wrangler Rubicon runs the 3.6L Pentastar VVT V6 with Stop/Start, rated at 285 horsepower, through the optional 8-speed TorqueFlite automatic. Underneath is the hardware that makes a Rubicon a Rubicon: Rock-Trac HD part-time four-wheel drive with a 4:1 low range, a Dana M210 wide heavy-duty front axle, a Dana M220 wide full-floating rear axle, electronic E-Lockers front and rear, and an electronic front sway bar disconnect. The Xtreme package adds 4.56 rear gears, 35-inch LT315/70R17 tires on 17-inch machined wheels with black pockets, performance four-wheel disc brakes, the matching 35-inch tire suspension, wheel flare extensions and Mopar hinge-gate reinforcement. Skid plates cover the transmission, fuel tank and transfer case, Off-Road Plus mode is there for the dirt, and it carries a Class II hitch receiver with 4- and 7-pin wiring.

The Wrangler Rubicon cabin is better equipped than people expect. The Technology Group brings the Uconnect 5 NAV system on the 12.3-inch touchscreen, Alpine premium audio, hands-free phone, connected travel and traffic, an auto-dimming rearview mirror and the integrated off-road camera, so you can see what the front tires are about to climb. The Convenience Group adds heated front seats, a heated steering wheel and remote start, which is exactly the trio you want in an Ottawa January. Standard on top of that: Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, SiriusXM with 360L, an overhead sound bar, dual-zone automatic climate control, a 115-volt outlet, universal garage door opener, proximity keyless entry with push-button start, a ParkView backup camera, Forward Collision Warning Plus with active braking, adaptive cruise control with stop, LED headlamps, fog lamps and taillamps, power heated mirrors, a security alarm and a Corning Gorilla Glass windshield. The 35s will make it a little noisier on the 417 than a stock Wrangler, and that is the trade you make for the clearance.
