2016 Toyota Avalon

2016 Toyota Avalon Limited | 3.5L V6 | The Quiet Big Sedan Nobody Talks About

3.5L V6 | LIMITED | ADAPTIVE CRUISE | PRE-COLLISION | LEATHER | HEATED & COOLED SEATS | HEATED REAR SEATS | JBL AUDIO | WIRELESS CHARGING | SUNROOF | NAVIGATION | CERTIFIED

White Avalon in Limited trim, which is the top of the range. The Avalon is what people bought when they wanted a Lexus without the badge, and Toyota built it that way on purpose. Kilometres are about average for a 2016 and it is certified and safety inspected.

It is the 3.5L V6 with a six-speed automatic driving the front wheels. This is the same basic engine Toyota put in everything from Siennas to Highlanders for a decade, and it is about as well understood as an engine gets. Smooth, quiet, and not remotely interested in giving you trouble.

Limited is the loaded one: leather, heated and ventilated front seats, heated rear seats, a power passenger seat, sunroof, navigation, JBL audio, a wireless charging pad, an auto-dimming mirror, a garage door opener and a backup camera. It also has Toyota Safety Sense with adaptive cruise control, pre-collision with lane departure alert and automatic high beams. Full-size sedans have quietly gone out of fashion, which is exactly why a good one is worth looking at if you actually want the room. If you drive the 417 every day or you want something comfortable for trips out of Ottawa, Kanata, Stittsville or Nepean, sit in one before you write it off.
