Our Community Partners

The Kiwanis Club of Kanata-Stittsville is a volunteer-driven nonprofit dedicated to improving the lives of children and youth right here in our community. Their local projects include donating Chromebook computers to students in need, distributing children’s books through area food banks, sponsoring Key Clubs at local schools including West Carleton Secondary, and hosting annual community events like Movie Night in the Park.

Our Connection: Orr Motors is proud to support the Kiwanis Club of Kanata-Stittsville in their mission to serve local children and families. As a fellow Stittsville institution, we believe investing in kids today builds the community we all share tomorrow.

Founded in 1986, the WOCRC serves thousands of west Ottawa residents every year through health and social programs including Chrysalis House (a 25-bed shelter for women and children), youth drop-in programs, newcomer settlement services, Meals on Wheels, and EarlyON child and family centres. With nearly 90 staff and programs spanning Kanata to Carp, they are one of the most vital support networks in our region.

Our Connection: The WOCRC is one of our most meaningful community partnerships. Located just minutes from our dealership on Hazeldean Road, we support their work serving families, seniors, and youth across west Ottawa — because healthy communities start with organizations like this one.

Since 1992, the Stittsville Food Bank has provided a helping hand to neighbours facing food insecurity within the Stittsville Ward 6 boundary. Run entirely by volunteers, they distribute non-perishable food, fresh produce, and essentials to individuals and families in need — no questions asked. Every bag packed is a direct act of care for a member of our community.

Our Connection: As a long-standing Stittsville business, Orr Motors actively supports local fundraising efforts that benefit the Stittsville Food Bank. Our neighbours feed our community — the least we can do is help keep the shelves stocked.

The Dunrobin Community Association (DCA) is the heartbeat of rural community life northwest of Stittsville. Entirely volunteer-run, they organize youth and adult sports, Canada Day celebrations, summer camps, an Adaptive Social Club for residents with disabilities, and operate the Dunrobin Community Centre as a gathering place for the whole West Carleton corridor.

Our Connection: Many of our customers and their families live in and around Dunrobin. Supporting the DCA means supporting the farmers, families, and long-time Ottawa West residents who make this area worth calling home.

Paying It Forward For Wishes (PIFFW) is a community initiative dedicated to making wishes come true for individuals and families in our area. Rooted in the belief that small acts of generosity create life-changing moments, PIFFW works to bring joy and hope to those who need it most — one wish at a time.

Our Connection: Orr Motors is honoured to support PIFFW’s mission of paying it forward in our community. We believe every neighbour deserves a moment that reminds them they’re not alone — and organizations like PIFFW make that happen.

The Stittsville District Lions Club is part of Lions Clubs International, the world’s largest service organization. Locally, they support vision health programs, community events, and youth initiatives across the Stittsville area. Their volunteers put in thousands of hours each year to make the community a better place to live.

Our Connection: Orr Motors proudly supports the Lions Club’s mission of community service in Stittsville.

Make-A-Wish Canada grants life-changing wishes to children with critical illnesses. Every wish experience can be a game-changer, giving kids the strength to fight harder, the joy to keep smiling, and the hope to keep dreaming. The Eastern Ontario chapter works with local families right here in our community.

Our Connection: Orr Motors supports Make-A-Wish through our partnership with Playing It Forward for Wishes.

The ReSource Rack is a local community initiative that helps families in need by providing essential items and resources. Their grassroots approach to supporting neighbours in the Ottawa area makes them an important part of the local safety net.

The Kanata Food Cupboard is a volunteer-run organization that provides food assistance to individuals and families in Kanata and the surrounding area. They work year-round to ensure no one in the community goes hungry, distributing thousands of food items each month.

Our Connection: Orr Motors supports the Kanata Food Cupboard’s mission to fight hunger locally.

We Care Focus is an Ontario-based organization dedicated to ending distracted driving through education and awareness. With a resource safety guide developed over 30 years of research, they educate communities on the dangers of electronic device use, in-vehicle adjustments, and handling objects behind the wheel. Their mission is simple: we can stop preventable collisions together through education.
