Most people walk onto a dealership lot, see a row of vehicles, and don’t think much about how they got there. But sourcing the right inventory is one of the most important parts of running a quality used car dealership, and it’s a job that takes real expertise. That’s where our Wholesale Manager, François Baadan, comes in.

From Under the Hood to the Showroom Floor

François didn’t start his career in sales. He spent years as an automotive technician, working on everything from daily commuters to high-end European vehicles. He knows what a well-maintained car looks like from the inside out, what shortcuts previous owners might have taken, and what’s going to cost money down the road. That mechanical background gives him a perspective that most people in wholesale simply don’t have.

When he transitioned to the sales side of the business, he brought all of that knowledge with him. Now, instead of fixing problems after the fact, he’s catching them before a vehicle ever makes it to our lot.

How We Source Our Vehicles

Not every used car is worth selling. François evaluates vehicles from auctions, trade-ins, and private sales across the region. He’s looking at more than just kilometres and cosmetics. He’s checking service history, mechanical condition, accident reports, and market value to make sure every vehicle we bring in meets the standard our customers expect.

If a car doesn’t pass his evaluation, it doesn’t make the cut. It’s that simple.

Why It Matters to You

When you shop at a big-box used car lot, you’re often buying from a volume operation that moves metal as fast as possible. When you shop at Orr Motors, you’re buying from a team that has a former technician vetting every vehicle before it hits the lot, a service department that inspects and reconditions it, and a sales team that stands behind it.

François is a key part of that chain. His job is to make sure that by the time you’re looking at a vehicle on our lot, the hard questions have already been answered.

Come Meet the Team

François is here at the dealership in Stittsville. If you’re curious about a vehicle’s history, how we sourced it, or what we looked for during evaluation, he’s happy to walk you through it. That kind of transparency is part of how we’ve done business for over 60 years.
