Orr Motors began in an official form in the early 60's -But even before that Our founder, my father,  Bill Orr, began buying and selling cars in his teens as a means to pay his way through school.  This evolved into a more formal business in 1962 when Orr Motors first opened on Bank st in Ottawa - some of you may know the location, it is right next to what is currently Irenes Pub!  Orr Motors grew fast and by the late 60's it was one of North Americas largest American Motors dealers located in Bells Corners in Ottawas west end.  Yes the Gremlins and Pacers were good to the Orr family.  Since then Orr Motors has managed several franchise operations.  American Motors Jeep, Ford, Pontiac Buick Chevrolet Cadillac, and the last new car operation was Orr Mazda in Carleton Place.  Bill Orr chose retirement in the 90's and left the business to me, his son, Fred Orr to operate in the manner I chose.  After working for the family business while attending Carleton University in Ottawa, and learning all the aspects of running a succesful car dealership, parts, service center, bodyshop etc. I decided I would rather dismiss the franchise operation and operate solely as a used car operation.  I felt it gave me more freedom to not be tied to the rules and regulations imposed by manufacturers, and more flexibility to give my customers what they wanted, as opposed to having to feign loyalty to any one brand of vehicle.  I am a firm believer that new cars are easy to get, and its hard to go wrong buying a new car...other than the price you have to pay!  It's a great nearly new used car at a great price, thousands less than new, which is hard to find.  And that is what Orr Motors specializes in.  Great used cars, at prices that are easily proven to be the best in the area.  Because lets face it folks  - its really all about the price.  Cars are one of lifes worst investments, yet you have to buy them.  We do our best to make sure we minimize your losses, and we stand behind what we sell, no questions asked.  Go online today and check our prices against other dealers, let us know if you see better deals elsewhere, and we will adjust our prices to beat them!  It is our objective to make sure no one beats our deals, and with our low overhead, and competent small staff, we can make magic happen!
